Margaret is a Senior level III  Iyengar Yoga teacher, and has been  teaching since 1979. She has visited the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune, India many times and was priviledged to have been  taught by BKS Iyengar himself, since the late seventies in England, Europe and U.S.A and from 1981 at the institute in Pune   Latterly taught by  his daughter, Geeta, and Prashant his son,  and now granddaughter Abi – who has taken up the mantel from her revered grandfather, much more since his death at age 95.   And since the sad death of Geeta Iyengar.   Margaret has also studied  remedial yoga with Stephanie Quirke (who  worked directly with the Iyengars in Pune for many years)

Margaret has developed, over the years, through her experience in Yoga, pranayama,  meditation and Chinese Medicine, a complete practice in order to reach a deeper spiritual awareness   It is a lifetime’s learning process and is a very exciting and stimulating journey.  Margaret has boundless love and passion for her practice and her teaching and finds it very rewarding to help her pupils discover a deeper level of Yogic awareness.  She has understanding and knowledge  for finding ways to practice with difficulties or injuries.

She teaches weekly classes and one-to-one sessions locally in Cookham,   monthly Sunday morning workshops (now on Zoom) for intermediate students to further their practice, and also  runs weekend and one day workshops in England and Ireland. Also, several times a year she runs Yoga holidays  –  in Crete, Spain,  Italy, Turkey, Canaries,  etc. As well as guest teaching in Europe and the U.S.A.

Margaret is also a qualified Acupuncturist, Tui Na practitioner (Chinese specialist deep massage) and Chinese herbalist. She gained her MBAcC at College of Integrated Chinese Medicine and did post graduate studies at Zhejiang College in China  in 2000 She practices in  Maidenhead and Cookham, Berkshire.   She  is experienced in treating many disorders.
